Data Management and Privacy

You entrust your information to us to carry out a property valuation.  We take your trust and securing your data seriously.

Our processes apply to paperwork (hardcopy) as well as our digital records. Quite often in our modern technological world people forget about leaving files unsecured or not properly disposing of hard copy documents.

We have processes in place for storing, shredding and pulping all sensitive documents in the valuation process. We have taken as many steps as we can to ensure that we reduce the risk of personally identifiable data being accessed by unauthorised users by implementing an Information Security Management System.

An information security management system (ISMS) is a set of policies, procedures, processes and systems that manage information risks, such as cyber-attacks, hacks, data leaks, theft or loss of personally identifiable data. ISO 27001 is the only auditable international standard that defines the requirements of an ISMS.

Lee Property’s certification to ISO/IEC 27001 demonstrates that as an organisation, Lee Property has put in place best-practice information security processes.  In addition, we have chosen to be independently audited by an accredited Australian certification body to measure the robust nature of our system.

Our governance and compliance umbrella is bolstered by integrating ISO 27001 with our certified ISO 9001 business system.

Lee Property are compliant with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs – See our Privacy Policy) and to the articles of the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
